12. TEM template in QW-V2D
In previous versions of QW-V2D, we concentrated on applications with circular waveguide inputs. Calculating coaxial structures with TEM excitation was possible, but the mode template had to be extracted by the general arbitrary dynamic procedure, which was inconvenient in a quasistatic case. Up to version 6.5, the recommended package for specific coaxial applications was QWCX. We are now withdrawing QWCX and enhancing QW-V2D also for coaxial connector applications. Thus we have introduced TEM template extraction at coaxial ports via one-dimensional quasi-static (1D QS) procedure, as used in the example of Section V2D 2.9.
