2.2.4       Thin Layers

Surface bodies, which all faces are planar and orthogonal to Z axis are recognised as thin layers (current version of the QuickWave software supports only thin layers orthogonal to Z axis). Thin layers are surfaces of infinitely thin metal.

Every thin layer has one medium assigned to it. Default medium for thin layers is metal. Medium currently assigned is listed in the Thin Layers node in QW Model tree (Fig.A 2.2-4). It can be modified using Select medium command available in the thin layer context menu. Thin layer can be made of PEC or Metallic medium.
