2.21.1    Introduction

3D Viewer – is one of displays in 2D/3D Fields Distribution windowQW-Simulator available under  button in 3D Viewer tab of 2D/3D Fields Distribution window. The resulting electromagnetic fields are spread over 3-dimensional space. It is a display, which employs current simulation data from time domain and (like the amplitude of surface current flowing on the metal walls of the modelled geometry or fields displayed only in fragments of the project which are made of a chosen material) read from files. Here is the list of accepted files:

·         *.dmp files exported by the QW-Simulator containing instantaneous values of all the fields calculated in simulation. The project geometry data are also available as an integral part of these files.

·         *.vi3 files exported by the QW-Simulator containing instantaneous values of a selected field component in chosen part of the project. The project geometry data are also available as an integral part of these files.

·         *.ve3 files exported by the QW-Simulator containing envelope of a selected field component in chosen part of the project. The project geometry data are also available as an integral part of these files.

The Viewer is a display offering a set of features useful in exploring various aspects of the simulation data obtained from the QW-Simulator. After  is pressed, the Components tab of 2D/3D Fields Distribution window will look as below (see Fig. 2.21.1-1).

 button in 3D Viewer tab is dedicated for Viewer display only and allows for its parameters setting. More details will be explained in the next sections of this manual.
