45   Symmetric Array Antenna

This example is available in .../QW-3D/Standard/Antennas/Patch/array_ant_sym.QWPro in the QW-Modeller examples directory and can be loaded using File®Open Examples... command from main menu.

General Description

A microstrip patch antenna array on PTFE substrate (ε = 2.2, loss tangent = 0.009 on 9.22 GHz).

Geometry

The antenna array consists of four rectangular patch elements arranged in a linear configuration, each intended to resonate at the designed operating frequency. These patch elements are evenly spaced to reduce mutual coupling and to ensure a uniform radiation pattern.
