18.5Creating NTF Box

In the simulation model, the NTF Box (green box) is a virtual box determining the boundaries at which the near-to-far field transformation will be executed for the purpose of calculating the radiation patterns.

It is worth noting that the NTF Box must fully surround the considered structure and must be itself surrounded by a homogenous medium. To introduce NTF Box we need to press NTF button in the Model tab.

The Create NTF Box dialogue will appear. We set the NTF Box dimensions by defining its length, width and middle coordinates. We put the values as in the picture below - we parameterize the box so when the size of the model changes, it will be automatically recalculated. The NTF Box is drawn with green lines and its preview appears in the project’s main window. We accept the setting with OK button.
