18.3Creating geometry

At this stage we will be creating the project geometry. First step that needs to be accomplished is choosing the units that will describe the geometry. To do that we go to Model tab and from Units button we choose Millimetres.

It is worth noting, that no elements, objects or ports may extend below the axis (into the ρ< 0 half-plane). Therefore, we will draw only half of long section of the parabolic reflector, waveguide and hyperbolic subreflector.

To create new Sketch, we go to Sketcher tab and we pick New. The Choose Orientation dialogue will appear. In V2D projects, sketches are placed in XY-Plane.

After creating new Sketch, we choose Sketcher in Sketcher Tab to change the active workbench.
