1.3     QuickWave Updates

Automatic updates facilitate keeping QuickWave up to date. QuickWave includes an automatic updater that can check for, download, and install updates for QuickWave software.

The  button in Home tab of QW-Editor and QW-Simulator Ribbon or Help->Check for QuickWave Updates... from main menu will check if the Updates for QuickWave are available. If there are no updates, the following dialogue will appear:

If new updates are found, the following dialogue will appear:

After clicking Next button, the updates for QuickWave software will be downloaded and installed:

The  button in Home tab of QW-Editor and QW-Simulator Ribbon and Help->Configure QuickWave Updates... from main menu will open Update Options dialogue for configuring the automatic Updates for QuickWave.

The user can turn off, turn on or set the interval for automatic updates. The folder where the updates will be downloaded is also set.

If there are new updates and the automatic updates are on, 5 seconds after QW-Editor or QW-Simulator are started the following dialogue will appear:

If there are no new updates, nothing will happen.
