7.5.4 Parameters Grid - range or specific values
In the parameters sweep regime the so-called parameters grid (variable values for which the simulations should be performed) can be defined in two ways:
The user may analyse the project with parameters being swept within a specific range with a specific increment. Thus the consecutive simulations will be performed on a fixed grid of values. For that purpose the user declares the Lower and Upper limits of the grid (range) and also the number of Steps per Range, which shows for how many equally spaced values from the specified range the simulations will be run. If k variables for parameters sweep are enabled, and if each has the same Steps per Range=N, then a total of Nk simulation will be performed in the parameters sweep process.
The user may analyse the project with parameters being swept within user defined values, specified for each of the variables. The variable values are specified using Use the following values option.
As an additional option, QuickWave allows starting the parameters sweep regime from a specified step number. This functionality is useful in situations when the parameters sweep process was stopped for some reason before it has finished and the user wants to resume the process without the necessity of starting it from the very beginning.
