3.2 Creating NTF Box

At this stage we should define the so called NTF Box, which is a virtual box determining the boundaries at which the near-to-far field transformation will be executed for the purpose of calculating the radiation patterns. It is worth noting that the NTF Box must fully surround the considered structure and must be itself surrounded by a homogenous medium. To introduce NTF Box we need to press NTF button in the Model tab. The dialogue as in Fig. 3 appears. We set the NTF Box dimensions by defining its Min and Max coordinates in each direction. We put the values as in the picture below. The NTF Box is drawn with green lines and its preview appears in the project's main window. We accept the setting with OK button.
